Adaptive Brain & Cognition Lab

How does the brain stay stable—and still remain ready to change?

We study how dynamic brain states, adaptive resets, decisions, confidence, and individual differences shape human behaviour across the lifespan.

Research programme

Stable enough to focus. Flexible enough to adapt.

Human cognition depends on a balance between stability and flexibility.

We examine this balance across brain dynamics, adaptive resets, perceptual decisions, metacognition, personality, and cognitive ageing.
